Squam, Little Squam and White Oak Pond shorefront residents owners are invited to join in on a hands-on workshop, each participant will take home a floating wetland to install near their shorefront.
Floating wetlands are planted platforms that float on the water’s surface. Their roots absorb excess nutrients, capture suspended solids, and provide habitat for beneficial microorganisms that help break down pollutants. These systems can improve water quality, enhance biodiversity, and strengthen shoreline resilience.
